PHEW

I can't believe the roller coaster we are on called life. Hopes' graduation has come and gone, so many proud tears, and tears of joy, and TONS of laughter! When I found out Grampy could not be here for graduation, I have to admit, I cried a few times, because I love to share wonderful times with him. We all got through it, and now we will get through his surgery.

For a girl who despises trauma and drama, she (Heidi) sure has put us through alot of both. Last year with her sickness, and this year with her Academy. Today was the day she passed her PT test, with shin splints (possibly stress fractures).

On my first blog post, I stated 'we aren't your typical empty nesters' . I find myself saying that statement every day.

Due to the fact that Hope moved back home from college, Heidi is probably downsizing from her house to a shared space in Maine, and Heather needs a spot for yard sale stuff, we got a storage unit. It has been visited and re-arranged multiple times!!! LOLOLOL

Today has been filled with great news, we are blessed that we have our health, and our happiness!!!

Dinner

Last night's dinner special: upside down chicken pot pies on the floor. I dropped the tray. Thank God for Ed's patience and the Chinese Delivery Guy.

Halo/Wind

Yesterday was warm and breezy. Too breezy. Too warm. Halo got too warm, and then the wind blew the curtain and the curtain knocked over a lamp in the family room. This truly sent Halo into a panic. I couldn't snap her out of her panic. So, Ed and I closed all the windows, curtains, put on the A/C, Ed made her a Babushka (sp?) then he laid on the floor with her until she fell asleep.

All is well.

Be patient with me!

OK people, I am new at this blog thing. I don't know why you have to start at the bottom, but thats the way it is for now ( until Heidi comes home)..so, please start at the bottom, work your way up. Enjoy!!!!

Last but not least: this could have been called 'mobile petting zoo' but we privately called it 'goat on a rope' LOL

Special Guest! I finally got to meet the famous Jessie Rae of Jessie Rae Photography, THE photographer who knows our baby Braydon so well!! Heidi, be proud of me, I got creative and took a picture of the picture taker!!

Introducing the Cake Fairy! Congratulations, Heather!

It was a cold, damp day, but it was really so much fun. This was great!
They had a big barrel, and started a bon fire! Everyone gathered around to warm their hands.

Painted hallway

You know, for 'empty nesters' we sure are busy people. Ed painted Mon-Friday all day last week. The hallway going towards the bedroom wing of the house is done, looks fantastic! Hope came home Friday with a case of the Shingles. I went to the doctor with her and heard it for myself, the only limitation was that she could not touch Braydon. So, she blew him kisses and he instantly blew them back to her! Braydon has been busy trying new foods, and discovering several playgrounds around the area. Saturday we attended Talmar Daffodil Festival, and had a wonderful time. Pictures will be posted shortly. Sunday we treated Hope to brunch at Main Street Tower in Bel Air. That girl can eat!!! It was great!! Hopes' graduation announcements are ready to go out, and we will be mailing them tomorrow (probably) This week, Ed is painting the hallway that leads to the fun wing of the house (the wing that has the hot tub, game room, and access to the pool) Halo has been cuddleing up in the sun, next to the fireplace and yes in Ed's lap. Yesterday it was 84 degrees, and she had a wonderful day outside! Today the high is 44 and she is back to the fireplace. Several pictures to follow! Hope we will see you Friday, Heidi we miss you! Grammy Gail and Grampy we will see you in a Month!!

Police Report.....

March 14, 2:41 a.m. A man was caught “mooning” a security camera near the Harford Mall.

Weekend happenings

It was so much fun helping Heidi surprise everyone by coming home for Heather's birthday. After showing Heather her 'surprise gift' for the weekend, we treated Heidi to Olive Garden Thursday evening for dinner. Then Friday Jayne stopped by at the same time Hope came home from school for the weekend. Heidi popped in the front door and surprised the HECK out of them! Friday evening we had Heather, Jason and Braydon over for dinner for Heathers' birthday. After dinner they went to a movie, and Heidi and Hope babysat Braydon. We ALL love that baby boy! Saturday I took Heidi for a ride around Aberdeen and APG and gave her the $85 billion dollar tour. $85 BILLION has been spent so far in/around little old Aberdeen Maryland due to the Base Realignment... After the tour we had a lazy Saturday afternoon, and I made my famous homemade fried chicken for the girls (at their request) we pigged out, watched a movie, and all got in the hot tub. It was nice to have the girls home, lots of laughter and good fun. Sunday morning Heidi left to go back to school, and Hope left to go to Heathers house. Hope didn't know the garage door was open due to the fact that Ed and Halo were out back in the woods on their morning walk. As she pulled out of the garage, she closed the door behind her. That left Ed and Halo out in the cold. literally. Ed doesnt take house keys with him no his walks. I was the only one home and I was in the shower, didn't hear the doorbell. Finally after 30 min I heard the phone ringing, and let them in. It took Halo all day to warm up! Hope was at Heathers house for a couple hours, came home, napped on the couch then packed up and went back to college. She is not happy with Middle School placement, but there are only a few weeks left. Poor Ed wants to start painting again tomorrow, stay tuned!!
